Odisha Government initiates ePass for people traveling out of Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government today launched a novel initiative E-Pass for people who are stranded or want to travel out of the State for medical or other emergency requirements.Persons interested to travel outside Odisha need to log on to https://covid19.odisha.gov.in/ and provide details of travel itinerary. It is also required to furnish passenger and driver details.After submission of details by the applicant, the application will be reviewed by district authorities. On approval E-Pass can be viewed, downloaded and printed from the website.E-Pass number with vehicle and passenger details will sent through sMS and Email. The initiative was developed by the State government’s IT Dept in 36 hours. The initiative aims to help stranded people to get pass for genuine needs without the hassle of visiting government offices, said an official press release. The process is end to end online, the release added.
