COVID-19: 7 More Positive Cases Surface In Odisha
Bhubaneswar: Seven more positive cases have surfaced in Odisha, taking the tally to 68.Until now, 10,641 samples. have been tested out of which 10,573 have turned out to be negative for the virus. This information was revealed on the official website of Odisha’s Health and Family Welfare Department early on 20th April morning.Odisha has been treading very cautiously in battling COVID-19. In the last 5 days, only 2 new positive cases had surfaced in the State despite the administration ramping the number of tests.Various steps were taken specifically by Odisha which has helped it in keeping the virus at bay and number of infections low. As on Sunday afternoon, 24 people had recovered in the State out of the 61 have tested positive for novel coronavirus and just one death.The recovery rate is at 35.29 per cent, which is more than double the national rate of 14.28 per cent.To combat the deadly virus, Odisha was the first state to impose a complete lockdown and also the first to extend it. Wearing of face masks have been made compulsory State-wide with the Government now taking measure to bring back the migrants stuck outside of the State.
