To the relief to the middle class, Union Budget 2016 has allowed 100% deduction on profits to companies which construct apartments measuring up to 30 square metros in four metro cities and 60 sq m in other cities. It means that any realty company which constructs housing units in the above-mentioned category will not have to pay any tax on profits it incurs from housing projects.
