Naveen Patnaik announces dedicated COVID19 Telemedicine Helpline-14410 to provide medical assistance to potential #COVID19 cases in Odisha
Odisha’s ‘Telemedicine Helpline’ – 14410 will be operational from Wednesday (April 8, 2020) at 11 am. People having any health related issues can call this number and get necessary advice/treatment from doctors on call.Brieifing about the facility, Works Secretary Dr Krishan Kumar said that the 104 Health Helpline is getting 12,000 to 14,000 calls per day. So, once the 14410 helpline is operational the load on 104 will be less and only critical ones will be diverted to the latter.“14410 will be a much better experience for the callers.

The facility is equipped with an IVR which records details about the patient before reaching a doctor,” said Dr Kumar.So far, 300 doctors have responded to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s call for the telemedicine helpline and given their consent to work as consultants. The doctors will have an app installed on their cell phones through which they will be connected with the patients.
