Tough battle ahead as BJP may surprise BJD in 2019 Elections says a survey!
While the Republic TV has predicted yet another landslide win for Narendra Modi-led NDA if Lok Sabha polls are held today, it has given an edge to BJP over BJD in Odisha.
According to the survey, BJP would win 13 out of 21 Lok Sabha seats. In 2014, the party could win just 1 Lok Sabha seat when Jual Oram emerged victorious from Sundargarh.
The survey further claims that BJD’s seat count would decline to 8 from the existing 20, while Congress would fail to open its account yet again.
The survey conducted with the help of CVoter says BJP’s vote share would increase to 39% vs 26.8% in 2014. BJD, which gained 44.1% vote share in 2014, could get just 33.4% while Congress’ vote share would decline to 17.2% from 21.5% in 2014.
The BJP-led NDA would win 335 seats if elections are held today, while Congress-led UPA could win just 89 seats, the survey says.
